Some people find warmer scales more soothing though (much like traditional book paper), so I guess its just personal preference.

I see. Well, I'm one of those who prefer the cooler colors, would certainly like that on the DR
Edit: I've noticed though, that it is possible to angle the DR to get slightly cooler tones. For example, instead of looking directly at the DR with a light source above you, angle it away from you (depending on the light source, you may need to rotate the DR up to 45 degrees relative to your line of sight). Alternatively, you can mess around with the light source, but this is much harder because of spot reflections etc.

That would be the first shot on the first post, wouldn't it? This shows off the whites. The last shot shows off the blacks (near the leaves).
