So Bookeen has the time, money and manpower to invest into a new reading device - but they don't have any left for a firmware update for the Gen3.

<sarcasm>Now isn't THAT great news!</sarcasm>

Also, in case the Opus really only supports epub and pdf, they'll face a tough competiton - there are already other device out there which offer more.
