Back on topic. I want to recommend two great great science fiction books. Unfortunately, they're not available as legal ebooks, or as printed books. You can either find them at a used book shop (very hard to find, unless it's through an online store, such as Abebooks) or download them from the so called Darknet, which I did (I also own the paperback version).

The books are:
The Vang: The Military Form & The Vang: The Battlemaster by Christopher B. Rowley.

Great SF story, with a bit of horror thrown in. Each is a standalone, But they feature the same aliens. IMO they are the most scary aliens I've ever read about. Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series features very similar creatures, but Rowley done them first and his description & characterization of them (what I remember of it) is much better. The movie(s) Alien feature similar aliens as well, but again, Rowely's just scare me more .

If you love science fiction or horror you must give this a try.
