The reason I wrote was not to disagree with your thoughts or to belittle your situation. I see these message boards as also providing a record for others who are researching a new purchase. I wanted to establish the point that the K2 is still a current model, not one outdated by the DX. The point is that they serve two different purposes, and in some cases the K2 may be superior to the newer DX, in other cases -- not so much
