I have had no problem reading the few DRM'ed Mobi files I've thrown at my BeBook.

Two possiblities:
1- Did you enter the BeBook's PID into the PC Mobireader before the purchase? In other words, does the vendor have the BeBook PID listed for your account? You might have to re-download the file so the DRM wrapper is BeBook-aware.
2- Are you using a version of PC MObireader that recognizes BeBook as a hardware device by name. (The version available at mybebook.com does.)
