On Friday, at school, my son was running around playing tig (or tag) in the playground. He twisted his ankle and tore a ligament which he says was painful, but he didn't bother to tell anyone. After school we walked into town to buy football (soccer) collector's cards and walked home. About 4.30 I realised his ankle was hugely swollen and questioned him about it. 'Oh, I landed on it a bit funny Mum, but it's okay'. Aaargh!
Took him off to the hospital and he now has it bandaged up with orders to stay off it as much as possible for next few days and no sports, PE or playtime (recess) for the next three weeks.
