I tested on Windows, macOS and Linux this time. Geometry is saved in all cases...
Will you please run these commands then send me the log? (assuming Windows)

Then play around a bit with the plugin, move window, minimise, restore... should be useful, I think.
Later I'll address other issues you and JSwolf raise. I dont use chrome, so I recommend the firefox extension for session cookies and it works flawlessly for me.
