As a Sony 505 owner I have to say the 505 is the way to go. It is well-designed aesthetically and functionally. I stopped seeing the flash ten pages into my first book. When I combined it with Calibre, I have been able to do everything I need. Calibre also offers automatic downloads from several news sources. You can read pdf and epub library files on the Sony.
