Yes, I have very little direct side loading experience and info was second hand and rather murky about what was being removed and why.
I have side-loaded Print Replica KFX (w/DRM removed) which will sync and behave as if it was downloaded (publishers usually do not permit direct download of this format to Kindles). Plus on Scribe, you can write on them.
But same functionality is achieved by converting to PDF and Send To Kindle.
