Thanks for your thorough, informative reply. I am not thrilled with the design of the K2, but perhaps I should give it another look. And I just can't appreciate the Jetbook's design - not for me. Regarding DRM, I had a feeling that would be needed, if I wanted a good selection. And you're right! I should determine the books I want, then see where I can find them - such a basic thing - and oh so important.

I know PDF is a problem, but are there not some workarounds if they are primarily text? And I thought the Aztak has native support? And Cybook, too?

Sony is the only reader with folders or any kind of organizational support? Even tags? Even with the help of Calibre? Wow - I did not know that - it is startling to read that!

Having perused my local library now, it seems that ADE is in favor there. How would that change your recommendations?

Sorry to hear about Cybook support - I hope your experience is the exception, not the rule. Support is important.
