w3c/epub-tests is the repository for the tests to validate the implementability of W3C's EPUB 3 specifications, specifically the core EPUB 3.4 (the specification for the EPUB format itself) and the EPUB Reading Systems 3.4 (the specification for applications that read and render EPUB files). As is made clear in the documentation, there is no single test ePub but rather a set of individual files for testing specific features. You can use the generateEpubs.sh file to generate the ePubs for testing under Linux or MacOS. For Windows, it looks as if PowerShell should be able to manage the task. I cheated and simply stored the files/subdirectories into a .zip file and then renamed the .zip file to .epub.
