Free this weekend on Kindle (Oct 10-11): My Brother on the Moon — a dystopian novella, ~68 pages, $2.99 after, always free on Kindle Unlimited.
The sickness in Ventenstein shows up for one hour a day, at a different time for everyone. What each citizen does inside their own hour is their crime; what the hour leaves in the streets is the city's merchandise, priced nightly on the bounty board. Auzel buries the bodies and keeps the accounts — this week the accounts list him. Then a stranger starts showing up just to talk about the moon, and about the brother Auzel sent there.
