Strange issue. The second Verse gets the occasional reboot I assume? If it's set to never power down the temp folder could easily fill up.

Perhaps try manually downloading the previous latest Koreader version and copy across (overwrite). Then see if it will update normally.

Is there plenty of free space on the device's storage?
