Library is 99% done and it can do all this:
- Syncing with other Apple devices running justread
- Table, list and grid views, switched from the toolbar or keyboard shortcut
- Native column header menu in the table for showing and hiding columns
- List and grid grouped under section headers that follow the sort
- Grid cover size slider at the bottom edge, like Finder
- All 11 sort modes from iOS
- Sidebar with Collections, Filters, Formats, Stars, Reading status (four states plus Up Next), Reading progress, Language and Tags
- Search with Command-F
- Mac selection: click, Command-click, Shift-click, double-click opens, right-click for the context menu, arrow keys across sections
- Inspector on the right with a single-book editor and a bulk editor that shows "Multiple Values"
- Edits autosave and sync to the iPhone
- Undo and Redo for every field, status change and collection change, one step for a bulk edit
- Undo only writes back while the book still holds what the Mac wrote, so it won't overwrite a change made on the phone
- Change Cover from a file, a drop or a paste, with a crop and rotate editor, and Use Original Cover
- Add Tag and Remove Tag for a whole selection
- Save Metadata to EPUB Files writes edits into the originals
- Export Edited Copy writes a new EPUB with the library's details and cover, never touching the source file
- Import with Command-O or a drop from Finder, folders included, with progress, Cancel and a duplicate check
- Import report listing what was added, skipped or failed, with Try Failed Again
- Move to Recently Deleted with Command-Delete, undoable, and the iPhone and Mac restore each other's books
- Remove Download and Remove from Library as separate actions
- An unplugged or renamed library folder keeps its books, with Try Again and Choose Library
- Sources section in the sidebar: library folder, Imported Files, Calibre, Recently Deleted
- Library Health section: missing files, not downloaded, unreadable files, no cover, incomplete details, unsaved edits, exact duplicates, each with a count
- Exact duplicate review showing each copy's location, size, progress and reading time, nothing merged automatically
- Window comes back after relaunch with the same selection, filters and inspector state
- Tested with synthetic libraries from 1,000 to 10,000 books; at 10,000 a metadata save takes about 2 ms and a full refresh 0.3 s
- Almost every action has a keyboard shortcut
