Thank you Becky. Your amended code works fine. I had tried a few variants (in my ignorance) but not this one.
I put the \s* in the Find regex because some Chapter headings had the odd space at the end. In retrospect, it is redundant, but it doesn't 'force' a space to appear.
Thank you for the ideas about env vars and debug. I'll get onto it.
