I ask AI the last upscale I id I asked the AI...
make this 1680 lines and very sharp and clear and jpeg
If that doesn't work, then I have to see what failed and try to work around it.
I also ask AI to remove text and badges.
remove the line of text just under the author name and make this jpeg
But the last cover I had AI edit, I found a cover I liked the colors better then the eBook cover. So using the cover with the text removed and the cover I liked better but it was a pBook photo not well done...
make the first cover look like the second cover but remove the bestseller line
And if the AI you are using refuses to do something, I'll try a different AI. And if I have to, I'll go back the the AI I use most to finish the job. Usually that's upscalling.
I've even fed the AI the book in text format to try to get it to generate a cover based on something in the book. That's when I didn't like the cover or could not find a decent cover or I just want to see what Id end up with. I did a cover for the book Tinker from Wen Spencer and AI did a really good job except for one thing which I was able to tell the AI to fix and it did. The cover was better then the book's current cover.
If your cover is png or wepb, you have to tell the AI to convert to jpeg.
I also use AI to increase title page images and maps. You can lso have AI increase the contrast if you want, brighten the colors, and what you think will look good. The last time I had AI upscale some BW maps, it did increase the contrast and that looked better then it was.
