I did a search on this: how to apply a cc license
and got lots of answers, like this example: Offline Documents: For Word documents or PDFs, add a notice on the title page such as "This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License" along with the relevant CC icon and a hyperlink to the license deed.
There was a lot more, including YouTube videos to guide you. If you don't want to go to that trouble, you should at least put the "free" notice at the beginning of your document.
