That is totally not true. If it has Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, it needs security updates.

There are botnets on the Inernet now made of smartbulbs, DVRs, and even e-readers. If you're willing to disable your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and sideload all your books, then security updates become less important.

I know the NxtPaper 14 got Android 16 in the UK. I'm hoping the US gets it soon. And I hope they start releasing security updates for Android 16 when that happens.
