But you may want to try what Kevin suggested. You can delete your forks (both on github and locally) and start over with a new fork/clone edit. Might be a small pita but we'd know for sure.
I think I'll go for the remake. It shouldn't take long - the edits were not substantial and it will reinforce my learning on GitHub.
