I gave up buying ebooks from Amazon when they forced a new version of Kindle for Mac two(?) years ago. I now buy from Kobo, price matching with Amazon if necessary, and other places like Humble Bundle. Everything is downloaded to Calibre and disinfected, and sideloaded to one or other Kobo (I have 2 Formas).

I occasionally borrow from the library using Libby, but they are read on my iPad as I don't connect my Kobos to wifi. I only borrow books that are unavailable to purchase as the problem is that often they only have random books in a series, or that I'm trying out a new author.
