If you follow the correct procedure but the device still does not turn off completely, I recommend disconnecting the battery for a while. Do not connect the device to a PC or charger after reconnecting the battery! Press and hold one of the page-turn buttons, then press and hold the power button; release both buttons as soon as the indicator light goes out.
When disconnecting the battery, carefully peel back the moisture-resistant film and avoid using metal tools.
