This would have been a lot easier if you had posted in the Fantastic Fiction plugin. Check message #149 in that thread.

Short explanation, Fantastic Fiction is getting very enthused about blocking bots from scraping the site. The last version mentioned in message #149 will require you to download 1.7.5 from GitHub using the link in that message.
