I tested a Clara 2E by leaving in a basin of water (~18cm deep) for 30 minutes. After removing it from the water, it turned on and the touch screen worked. The area around the µSD card was re-coated after the card was replaced.

So in at least one case, water resistance worked as advertised. Please note the water in this area is on the soft side (3-4mg/L while the limit to call water soft is 60mg/L). By comparison, Regina Saskatchewan has ~990 mg/L. Would you like a knife and fork with your glass of water?
