I don't understand...I buy Logitech Mice and Keyboards all the time, and they have user replaceable batteries. You can buy ones that are rechargeable, but I don't have any interest in those. I'm basically buying them for clueless users, who definitely couldn't be trusted to plug them in when needed, and then I would be getting a call to "come fix it". With replaceable batteries I just have to make sure that all locations have a stock of batteries, and as soon as the battery is changed the device will work.

Besides...the non-rechargeable ones are generally MUCH cheaper, and have the same overall life span as the rechargeables.
