I have a very similar problem that I feel like only happens when I batch modify local book files. For example, both "convert books" and "polish books" has it crash, with nothing in the log. But "Extract ISBN" works for the whole library.
My problem is not as consistent as "3 books." I believe I can even crash on a single books -- but i can definitely crash on 2-3. Sometimes I can get away with Polishing 10 books.
I have been able to "solve" the problem by going into Safe Mode, but haven't figured out which application is creating the conflict.
I have a Legion 7i gaming Laptop with a 4080.
Just throwing this out there in case this helps connect the dots for anyone.
