Technically correct, but it was the Writers Guild who shouted "TTS!" in a crowded publishing house. (The mixed metaphor seemed more clever before I actually typed it...ah well).

I also have heard anecdotally that one or more publishers actually had the presence of mind to include language in their Amazon ebook contracts that specifically referenced their TTS rights, so Amazon's "caving" may actually have been more an expression of legal pragmatism than anything else.
