Thank you everyone (Quoth, jkrzok, Yapyap, JSWolf) for all the great insights!

@Yapyap & @JSWolf: That’s a very fair point about screen fragility. You’re right that glass E-Ink panels across all brands (Kindle, Kobo, Boox) are inherently delicate. Buying through EU retailers/Amazon definitely provides a solid safety net for returns and consumer rights. Also, the heads-up about Musnap units occasionally dying out of nowhere is very useful—long-term hardware reliability is definitely a priority for me.

@jkrzok & @Quoth: The PocketBook Era is sounding more and more tempting, especially with KOReader running so smoothly and the praise for its button ergonomics.

I have a few follow-up questions to help me make the final decision:

1. For PocketBook / KOReader users: How seamless is dictionary lookup and highlight export (specifically to Markdown/.md files) in KOReader on PocketBook? Does KOReader run as smoothly on PocketBook as it does on Kobo?

2. For Kobo Libra Colour owners: Is the Kaleido 3 background noticeably dark/grey when reading black-and-white text indoors, or does keeping a low frontlight on completely solve it?

3. For Boox Go 7 users: What does battery life look like when reading purely offline with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth turned off?

Thanks again for all the help—this is super valuable!

Best regards,
Nils B.
