The Era I saw in a local shop looked fine. I was tempted as the button arrangement seemed nicer than Libra, Libra 2 or Sage (which I have).
Unlike CRT, Plasma, LCD, OLED, DLP etc, there is a noticeable variation in contrast, eveness & colour of front light etc for the exact same model using the exact same eink panel.
Unlike all other display technologies you can't just swap a replacement panel. There is at least a vcom setting or it can be washed out or worse.
