I did think Kf7 was a later Mobipocket format that Amazon inherited. I have also maybe the last version of Mobipocket Creator. It supposedly takes MS Doc (prior to 2007 version docx) but works better with clean & simple HTML 3.

I suspect since the first mobi I tried worked, renamed, all the ones from my LibreOffice Writer with extra Save As in docx for Calibre to convert to epub will work converted to old mobi as there is nothing "clever" in them.

I just wondered had I missed a setting. If I did a plug-in, I'd replace images with their alt text etc. I'd not use so called AI either. It's curious that this Mobipocket on Nokia S80 supports more fonts than mobi on any of the K1, K2, DX family, or old mobi rather than KF8 on the K3. Really Amazon's Labs 126 was very lazy. I'll experiment to see is anything other than Latin-Roman supported.
