The fonts are named that, except my 'regular', which is simply courier.ttf. (I also have a file called courier-normal, but I couldn't find one that downloaded as courier-regular.) The internal names ought to match; I haven't edited even the external ones, they're all named what they were when I downloaded them. Yep, they're all in the fonts directory in my Kobo. (I think if they weren't, I wouldn't be able to select Courier as a font option when I open a book?)
And yes, like I said, in the epub you made the font displays perfectly in monospace/courier. No need for selecting a font option, even publisher font.
