Even if you can register an old Kindle, it won't work. My Kindle Touch is registered and it won't allow me to download any of my purchases. So don't bother as it won't work. It's a waste of time trying something that won't work. Give it up. Registering old Kindles is never going to be allowed by Amazon. And even if this hack worked, you won't be able to download purchases or from Kindle Unlimited.
