You already can turn off sync libraries automatically in the settings.
Custom column are already integrated.
I don't know how I could turn on a partial sync.

What would refreshing covers do? When would just the cover change, but not the metadata? I'm not opposed, If I can understand the use case, it might help me figure a way to do it.
