Personally, I think debugging is a legitimate use, and copyright shouldn't prevent it.

However, you could see if a scrambled version would exhibit the same problem, and send that. See the Scramble Ebook plugin.

And you might want to look into using justRead's built-in calibre server connection, instead of using calibreSync. IMO it's much easier than having two apps, and it syncs read status and position back to calibre if you enable it.
