The only problem (that I know of) is that the book I was reading was deleted off my Kobo somehow. I searched by book title, author and series and couldn't find it anywhere.
Anyway...I just tried to connect to calibre to redownload my book and got this error message
Spoiler:
calibre, version 9.8.0

This doesn't look like a good thing, but how can I fix it? Thanks!
The DB on the Kobo is damaged.
If you have not been using the backup the DB feature of Kobo utilities: You need to sign the Kobo out and then sign back in.
If you have, just use the OS to (unzip) and put the contents of the .kobo folder into the same folder on the kobo
