They locked down ADB as way to cover up the shabby Android build. It's rooted out of the box which means you can't run banking or payments apps on the device and you probably shouldn't trust it for any personal information especially notes. They pre-bundle Chrome with a doctored icon, and who knows what else embedded inside? The Viwoods 'App Store' app has permissions to read your call logs and contacts and it can't be uninstalled. The ADB lock can easily be bypassed BTW.
What we really need is an AOSP build for this device (as the hardware is really nice) to make it into something other than a mass surveillance device.
