I believe that Pocketbooks are gimped by their sluggish software and not by their screens, this can be proved by installing Koreader. This is why speeding up the display updates will probably make no difference for their stock reader and Koreader is already fast enough in my opinion. I would not be interested in this upgrade whether it’s paid or not.
