Opening the html document in the browser rather than in the regular reader program would open Kobo Touch for simple “app development” using JavaScript. It looks like the built in browser supports JavaScript to a certain degree (or maybe it is fully compliant).

Also, for this purpose running the browser without a WI-FI connection (i.e. Airplane Mode) would extend the battery life.

you can go to 'file:///mnt/onboard/myfile.html
you need wifi, but not internet, but maybe someone has figured it out?
also you need to put the .html file onto the kobo with the computer, but if it is in a subfolder, just out it into the directory��
