I'll think about it. Perhaps add a checkbox toggle to use the short name L & D.
You have icons set to Large in Look & Feel prefs? I suggest you change it to Medium so your toolbar can accommodate more plugins! And you could also add some often used commands to the menubar and the optional second toolbar, that's what I do.
Or, you may want to install manually the attached mod: (Preferences -> Plugins -> Load plugin from file)
