Serif fonts are my go-to, but on an e-ink screen, something that looks too much like a "book font" just doesn't feel right. For example, I don't like the Palatino or Baskerville fonts, as it doesn't click with me when using them on a screen rather than a book page. @JSWolf's CharisSIL is the 'most serif' I can go with. It's likely just the way my brain is. Sans-serif is a no-no for me, but I know they're easier for others to read.
