If Kobo only offers LCP and drops the current DRM for KePub, what could happen is that a lot of people will have eBooks on their Kobo that they would no longer be able to read and any bookmarks, highlights, last read page would all be lost. Also, the Kobo Mini's official firmware is does not have LCP.

My question is, will Kobo switch to LCP for KePub or will we get a choice or will they not implement LCP at kobo.com?
