The solution to the column too short header issue is to leave the columns the width they are supposed to be. The only column I'd need to adjust is the title column. All the others should be exactly as I set it.

Why do we need to adjust the font weight? I've never had a problem with the font weight in calibre. As to the font family, we can already change that in the calibre's preferences so why duplicate it? Whatever the font I'm using normally is the font I would use when using the plug-in.

Would you be so kind as to remove these features we don't actually need?
