ERROR message - Kindle Colorsoft Signature

Hello, I'm new to the forum and I need some help before making the final decision to return this Kindle.

I got it last week - re-downloaded all my files into it through Calibre. I have epubs, azw3, mobi, and pdf - which all worked fine in my last kindle (11th signature paperwhite)

I keep getting an ERROR message - "An error occurred. If you purchased this item from Amazon, remove the downloaded item and download it from the Cloud"

I've restarted, the file opens fine. But then another file gives me the same error. I'll restart it again, it works but then it'll give me the error message on the same file after I've been able to open it. This has been happening at random with different files.

If anyone can guide me on what to do, I'd really appreciate it. I don't want to return it, but this is so frustrating.
