Yes it will and that is exactly how I am using it now (and that was my initial idea to use justread.app).
Select a folder in icloud (the same) on as many devices as you want, and that is it.
I have it now like this:
1. Calibre folder is in iCloud (it is to be seen on screenshot above)
2. justRead on iphone has this folder selected
3. justRead in ipad has this folder selected
Whatever I change in Calibre (cover, tags, add book, remove, etc.) I wait a little (for iCloud to sync) and then just pull to refresh the library.
When I want to test a book and bypass Calibre I simply put that book in that folder and test it in justRead on any device I have hand on at the moment.
That also means... a book is in one location only and those three (calibre, justread 1, justread 2) just use it from that location. It also means, when you delete it (for example) from justread on iphone, it will not be accessible from Calibre (because the file does not exist), and justread (and dissapears when you pull to refresh).
