Well, blah! There goes there goes the ability to get azw3/kf8 via my Kindle Touch. (Haven't gotten an email yet.) I imagine my Paperwhite 2's DeDRMable KFX will go soon. My Oasis 2 is already done. Guess I will have to finally try Satsuoni's method for Kindle for PC or just forget about buying anything that is Kindle exclusive.

The question is whether download and transfer will still work and the inference is that it will not. The email coyly doesn't mention that specifically when it lists the other methods of accessing books that will end.

Amazon ended d&t over a year ago. The only downloads available now from the website are for DRM-free books in epub or pdf (and only if the publisher has turned it on for older books).
