Unhappy Kobo nia power button deteriorating

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me with my Kobo Nia. The rubber/silicone power button has been deteriorating over time — it has cracked and the edges are now collapsing inward.

The problem is that when I put my e-reader cover on, it turns off by itself — I think the collapsed button edges are accidentally pressing the switch.

I've found a 3D-printed replacement button file on Thingiverse (thing:7082468) for the Kobo Nia, but the author mentioned the height might be wrong. So I'm not fully confident it would work.

Has anyone dealt with this issue before? Is the Thingiverse file reliable, or is there another solution I'm missing?

Thanks in advance!
