I don't know what happened with the Windows installation, but I think I have a solution. You might see a Windows installer message saying "Retry" or "Next," but with this active wait of up to 15 seconds, the MSI should find a clear path 99% of the time. Try this version; if it works, I'll consider it the final version.

I did a repair install and it worked. But, the installer ran right after the GUI closed. I'm not sure the GUI is closing properly. It runs the backup plugin and that takes longer for the GUI to close then it does via the Updater. Also, I think the MSI runs too fast as some people may take longer to close.
