Jon Noring and I at OpenReader love the idea! We've forwarded this excellent suggestion to Mark Carey at OSoft. What's more, we'd love for you guys to do open source creation tools or encourage this among other open source folks. The same tools should be able to produce other mobile-friendly formats besides OpenReader. Once documents are in high-quality XHTML 1.1, required for OpenReader, it's downhill to the other formats.
