Quick Guide: How to import your notes to calibre
For the plugin to work, you need the .mrexpt file (Moon+ Reader's export format). You have two options:
Option A: Automatic (Recommended)
If you use the "Sync with Dropbox/Drive" option within Moon+ Reader:
Make sure your PC is syncing that folder from the cloud (using the Dropbox app or tools like Dropsync on Android).
In the plugin, go to Configure Source Folder and select that local folder.
Done! When you tap the plugin button, it will search for the file by the book's name and import it automatically.
Option B: Manual (Traditional)
If you don't use the cloud:
In Moon+ Reader, open the book, open your bookmarks, and select Export.
Share the .mrexpt file to your PC (via email, cable, Telegram, etc.).
Save it in any folder (desktop, downloads).
When you tap the button in calibre, if the plugin doesn't find it automatically, a window will open for you to select the file manually.
Important Suggestions and Clarifications
The name matters: For automatic detection to work, the .mrexpt file name must contain the book's title exactly as it appears in calibre.
Destination column: Remember that you need to create a custom column in calibre of type "Comments" (rich text/HTML) for the colors to be visible.
