Montgomery, L. M.: Pat of Silver Bush. v1. 20 Mar 2026

Pat of Silver Bush is a nostalgic novel focusing on a simpler time, intense devotion to home, domesticity, and the joys and heartbreaks of rural family life.

The story follows Patricia "Pat" Gardiner from age 7 to 18 at her beloved home, Silver Bush Farm on Prince Edward Island. Unlike most other Montgomery heroines, Pat’s defining trait is an intense, almost obsessive desire for her home life to remain exactly as it is. She is a deeply sentimental, home-loving girl who treasures her family and home above all, sometimes with near-obsessive intensity. She struggles against change, but learns to cope with the inevitability of growing up, family departures, and the shifting seasons of life, all while being mentored by the housekeeper, Judy Plum.

(Includes several dust jacket examples.)
