Yeah, I'm not sure how they did it without updating the software release number. but deDRM in Calibre now only works with generations 3 (kindle keyboard) through 6th gen, and it might work with the 7th generation basic kindle since that has the same software number as the 6th gen (different than the 7th gen PW).
